I was thinking the other day about a tool kit for new entrepreneurs or digital nomads.

I asked myself the following question:

What books would I give a new entrepreneur to set a solid foundation?

I could have listed a hundred books here, but I’m only going to list the ones that I think will be helpful for someone starting their first business or someone taking a new direction in life.

Some of these books might seem like they have nothing to do with entrepreneurship, but it’s all connected.

You don’t just need a business understanding, you need an understanding of people, psychology, and strategy.

The human story is connected in all different areas and you should start connecting the dots so you have a better understanding of how the game is played.

So here is my list of book recommendations:

The 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferris

This book by Tim Ferris is a legendary book on how to design a lifestyle that gives you the most important commodity you have: your time.

“The 4-Hour Workweek” by Tim Ferris is a groundbreaking book that challenges conventional notions of work and productivity.

Ferris shares his journey of escaping the 9-5 grind and achieving a life of freedom and fulfillment.

Through practical tips and strategies, he teaches readers how to escape the trap of endless work and instead focus on efficiency, automation, and outsourcing.

The book encourages readers to redefine their goals, prioritize their time, and embrace the concept of lifestyle design.

Influence By Robert Cialdini

Have you ever wondered why you do the things you do?

And have you ever wondered why people make the decisions that they do?

Enter Influence and Robert Cialdini.

Influence by Robert Cialdini is a book that explores the psychology behind persuasion and influence.

Cialdini identifies six key principles that are commonly used to persuade others: reciprocity, commitment and consistency, social proof, authority, liking, and scarcity.

He delves into each principle, providing real-life examples and studies to support his claims.
The book also discusses the ethical implications of using these principles and how to defend oneself against manipulative tactics.

Overall, Influence offers valuable insights into the art of persuasion and is a must-read for anyone interested in understanding human behavior and decision-making.

The Magic Of Thinking Big By David J. Schwartz

A lot of people starting out with business fail because they lack the right mindset to overcome the challenges that await them.

“The Magic of Thinking Big” helped me to be more “unrealistic” and take more risks.

“The Magic of Thinking Big” by David J. Schwartz is a self-help book that explores the power of positive thinking and the impact it can have on personal and professional success.

The book emphasizes the importance of setting big goals and believing in one’s abilities to achieve them.

Schwartz provides practical strategies and techniques to overcome self-doubt, fear, and negative thinking patterns.

When people stop focusing on everything that could go wrong and start thinking about everything that could go right the whole game changes.

The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson

The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson is a powerful self-help book that emphasizes the importance of making small, consistent efforts to achieve success.

The book argues that success is not the result of one big action or decision, but rather a series of small choices made consistently over time.

Olson introduces the concept of the slight edge, which is the idea that small actions performed consistently over time can compound and lead to significant results.

The book gives practical advice and examples to help readers understand how they can apply the slight edge principle in their own lives.

Meditations by Marcus Aurelius

Meditations by Marcus Aurelius the great Roman emperor is one of my favorite books.

It’s one of those books that is great to read when you get up with a cup of coffee to set the tone for the day.

“Meditations” is a philosophical book written by Marcus Aurelius, the Roman Emperor, during his reign in the 2nd century AD.

The book consists of a series of personal reflections and philosophical musings that Aurelius wrote for his self-improvement and self-reflection.

In “Meditations,” Aurelius explores various themes such as the nature of virtue, the importance of maintaining inner peace, and the transient nature of life.

He emphasizes the need for individuals to focus on their actions and thoughts rather than being consumed by external distractions.

The book draws examples from both ancient and modern warfare, offering readers a wide range of strategies to apply in various situations.

Opportunity by Eben Pagan

“Opportunity: How to Win in Business and Create a Life You Love” by Eben Pagan is a great book that offers valuable insights and strategies for achieving success in both business and personal life.

I’ve been a big fan of Eben Pagan through the years and bought a lot of his marketing courses, so when he wrote this book I read it immediately and I was not disappointed.

Pre-Suasion by Robert Cialdini

After you read his first book “Influence”,I recommend you read his second book Pre-Suasion.

In his book “Pre-Suasion,” Robert Cialdini explores the concept of pre-suasion, which refers to the art of influencing people’s decisions before they are actually faced with a choice.

Cialdini argues that by strategically priming individuals with certain messages or cues, one can significantly increase the likelihood of achieving a desired outcome.

He presents various techniques and strategies that can be used to effectively pre-suade potential customers, such as creating a sense of similarity or establishing a sense of authority.

“Pre-Suasion” provides good insights into the power of persuasion and offers solid advice on how to ethically influence others.
